Because creator and production setups can range from simple webcam layouts to full multi-camera studio environments, the scope of work can vary significantly.

To make sure we provide a fair, accurate price based on your actual needs, we require a short project intake before quoting.

Service & Pricing Disclaimer – PureLight Innovations (Kansas City)
By booking any service with PureLight, you agree to the terms below. These policies are designed to keep pricing transparent and protect both you and our technicians.


Scope & Variable Pricing
• Posted prices cover the specific service described and a standard scope.
• Some jobs require additional work (e.g., custom wiring, wall fishing, mounting on brick/stone, attic/crawl-space access, complex networking, rack mounting, smart-home scene programming, or full home-theater calibration).
• When the required work is outside the standard scope, an additional charge will apply. You will be informed and must approve any change before we proceed.


Time Limits & Overage Billing
• Each fixed-price service includes a time allowance shown on the booking/checkout page.
• Work that exceeds the included time is billed at the published overage rate.
• Unless otherwise stated, default allowances are:
– Home Entertainment/Smart Setup: up to 1 hour
– Creator/Gamer Performance Setup: up to 2 hours
• Suggested overage rate: $40 per additional 60 minutes (billed in 60-minute increments).
• Material delays, password issues, software updates, or data transfers may extend the appointment beyond the time frame the time rate will be applied.


Subcontractors & Specialized Labor
• For certain installations or advanced tasks, we may engage vetted third-party specialists.
If subcontracting is required, pricing may increase to cover specialized labor. You will receive a clear quote and must approve before work begins.
• All subcontracted work remains covered by PureLight’s workmanship standard.


Parts, Materials & Equipment
• Hardware and materials (mounts, brackets, cables, adapters, mesh Wi-Fi, cameras, storage drives, microphones, lighting, etc.) are not included unless explicitly stated.
• If parts/materials are needed, they will be added to the invoice at the agreed price.


Access, Power & Network Requirements
• Client must provide working power, internet access, required passwords, admin logins, and safe/clear access to the workspace.
• If access is not available or unsafe (ladder/roof/attic hazards, water damage, pests, etc.), we may reschedule or modify the scope; a trip fee may apply.


Data, Backups & Software
• We strongly recommend backing up your data before any work. PureLight is not responsible for data loss, corruption, or incompatibilities caused by pre-existing issues, failing drives, or third-party software.
• Licenses/keys for paid software must be provided by the client unless otherwise arranged.


Network Performance & Environmental Limits
• Actual Wi-Fi/streaming performance depends on your ISP plan, building materials, interference, and device capabilities.
• We will optimize configuration and placement, but cannot guarantee speeds beyond what your environment and ISP support.


Travel, Parking & After-Hours
• Pricing applies to the Kansas City metro. Addresses outside the core service area may incur a travel fee.
• Client-mandated paid parking or garage fees will be added to the invoice.
• After-hours/expedited appointments may include a surcharge (quoted in advance).


Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows
• Please give 24 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel.
• Same-day cancellations/no-shows may incur a $35 fee (edit as desired).
• If we arrive and cannot start due to access, missing approvals, a trip fee may apply.


Membership Plans & Minimum Term
• Monthly memberships require a 3-month minimum.
• The first payment may collect 3 months upfront (or a comparable sign-up fee) to prevent misuse.
• Membership benefits (remote sessions, discounted visits, included time, etc.) apply only to the active plan holder and the covered address.


Quotes, Estimates & Validity
• Written quotes are valid for 14 days unless noted otherwise.
• If conditions change (scope, materials, site constraints), the quote will be updated for approval before work continues.


Payment & Disputes
• Payment is due at checkout or upon completion unless otherwise agreed.
• Chargebacks/disputes should first be addressed with PureLight so we can resolve promptly.
• Unpaid balances may pause support and future bookings.


Warranty & Workmanship
• Our services are non-refundable; this is due to the nature of the job.
• Manufacturer warranties for hardware are subject to the manufacturer’s terms.


Photos & Documentation (Optional)
• With your permission, we may take photos for documentation, equipment serials, or quality control. Marketing use requires your explicit consent.
Safety & Compliance
• We follow safe-work practices and applicable guidelines. We do not perform tasks requiring a licensed electrician or contractor unless arranged through a licensed partner.
